About SBRDT - Shri Basaveshwar Rural Education and Development Trust.
Shri Basaveshwar Rural Education and Development Trust (SBRDT)® was established in 2004 by Shri Sharanappa M. Kotagi (Mathikatti), a dedicated advocate for education, with the mission to impart value-based education in both rural and urban areas.
The trust has played a pivotal role in the academic and socio-economic advancement of the region by providing quality education. Under the leadership of Shri Sharanappa M. Kotagi (Mathikatti), SBRDT has established various institutions, including D.Ed, B.Ed., M.Ed, P.U.C, B.H.M.S., Pharmacy, and INIFD Dharwad for Fashion and Interior Design. The trust also plans to start pre-primary and primary schools in the Hubli-Dharwad area at Sattur, Dharwad - 580009, Karnataka, India.
These institutions have gained popularity and were established under the guidance of the Honorable Chairman of the trust, Dr. Veeranna A. Mathikatti, an ex-member and former chairman of the Karnataka Legislative Council.
The primary purpose of founding SBRDT was to uplift the education system for rural communities. Secretary Shri Sharanappa M. Kotagi (Mathikatti) has dedicated significant efforts to the development of the trust. He has visited countries like China, Israel, Kuwait, Sharjah, Dubai, and Sri Lanka to understand modern educational methodologies and agricultural development techniques, aiming to implement these insights within the society.
Shri Sharanappa Kotagi (Mathikatti) has devoted his life to organizing various religious functions and has adopted the principles and teachings of Vishwa Guru Shri Basaveshwara in his social life. SBRDT is committed to supporting the development of poor and needy students from rural areas.
